Food for Life – The Skinny on Foods, Breast Cancer, and Immune Function

Let us learn, grow, and absorb the science on how food is the new medicine………preventing  disease, enhancing survival, and positively impacting health and wellness. This 2-class series will discuss foods and breast cancer prevention and survival, and how certain foods boost our immune function.

 Each class involves DVD education from Dr. Neal Barnard, founder of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine in Washington, D.C., cooking demonstrations, and enjoying all prepared dishes.

Our host, Joanne Irwin, has been teaching for Physicians Committee (PCRM) since 2008. Certified in plant-based nutrition via PCRM, the Nutrition Studies Program at eCornell, the CHIP Program (Complete Health Improvement Program), and the Vegan Mastery Studies, Joanne’s passion in sharing this life enhancing information is to give participants added tools that will assist them in achieving their health goals. Joanne also offers private cooking classes and consultations.
